Best 2K22 versions for Center & Power Forward

From a three-draining Stretch Four to a Glass Cleaner hawking rebound, these are the best 2K22 builds for tall men – Centers and Power Forwards.

NBA 2K22’s MyCareer mode offers an assortment of different options for players in terms of builds, with each position offering their own unique choices.

Traditionally, people have turned to building quick, shot-focused guards that can move the ball around and drain three.

But, an underestimated, even vital, position on the ground is in the post. Crosses and powerful attackers can make or break a team, especially if you know how to get the most out of building.

Best Stretch Four constructions for Center & Power Forward

Sometimes playing center or forward means stretching the floor, not just getting rebounds. If this is the style of play that you want to adopt, then these versions will be for you.

Playing this style offers a lot to the players. Most important of all is that you’ll be a problem for most of the other great men in the game if you’re constantly on the outside. They’ll usually be too slow to come out and cover the perimeter, not to mention that it opens up the paint if you have an SF Slasher or something similar on your team.

Building them on the current gen and the next gen has a lot of the same ideas, nonetheless, here are some tips for getting the most out of building on both setups.

Note: Version names may vary slightly, but look for a form of “Stretch Four” in the name.

Current generation

  • Position: Forward power
  • Pie charts: You have the option of going entirely green (Shooting) or mostly green, with a little red (Defense) depending on the amount of shooting you want. The choice you make here can impact the build name at the end, especially if you go more Defense and less Finishing. After that, choose the agility-focused pie chart.
  • Statistical potential: There is certainly some flexibility here, but a good rule of thumb is to maximize the categories that matter most first. Pump stats into shooting stats until you’ve gone over 20 badge upgrades, then max out defense. With the remaining points you can go for more Finishing if you want to take out the big guys and lead the way, or Playmaking if you want to dribble and get more involved in the assists.
  • Size, weight, wingspan: For a Stretch Four, think small. Your drive should be no more than 6’9 ” and no more than 190 lbs. The wingspan is very much dependent on the player’s confidence in their shooting skills. Reduce the wingspan if that worries you, but feel free to go a little higher for extra points on defense.
  • To resume: Your options here may vary depending on some of the variables above, but Spot Up Shooter should be available in both cases. Choose this one.

New generation construction

  • Position: Forward power
  • Size, weight, wingspan: Again, go smaller here. You can actually go down to 6’7 ″ on the next gen, so consider doing that for maximum speed. Otherwise, the weight depends on how much you place on getting up and down from the ground versus inner defense at a high level. The wingspan is the same principle with the shot versus blocking the shot. Go lighter and smaller on wingspan for more offense, and opposites for more defense, overall.
  • Statistical potential: Next-gen players will know that there are a lot of nuances to building stats, so the details of this will vary widely from player to player. The key here is to maximize key shooting stats like mid-range and three-point shooting and leave plenty of extra points for physics down the builder. Make sure you can maximize speed and acceleration. The goal is to have at least 25 badge points for shooting, which is the key to this build.
  • To resume: Limitless Range is a must see here. The other takeover will depend on the style of play and your goals for the player. Easy Blowbys is a favorite of this author.

A great example of this release is from 2K content creator Uncle Demi. Hers vary slightly from the one listed here, but this is another great build with good reviews.

Best Glass Cleaning Versions for Center & Power Forward

For those who want a more traditional approach to post positions, there are some great options that prioritize edge finishing and board dominance. These are commonly known as 2K window cleaners.

A common misconception with these kinds of builds is that you have to be a 7’3 ” cave troll that crawls around the field and only grabs bounces to be effective. But, that’s anything but the case.

Speed kills in 2K22, and these builds use speed and acceleration to a player’s advantage while keeping a very dominant paint beast, both offensively and defensively.

Note: Version names may vary slightly, but look for some form of “glass cleaner” in the name.

Current generation

  • Position: Forward power
  • Pie charts: The dominant red (defense) and the dominant Agility are the two cores of this construction. This will give you the basics to be an absolute beast while being fast.
  • Statistical potential: The badge’s ideal potential spread is close to 17-1-6-30 (finishing, shooting, playing, defending). You will need to focus heavily on defense first and foremost, with the finish coming next. Prioritize anything inward-facing, and use extras to improve speed stats like lateral quickness and perimeter defense.
  • Size, weight, wingspan: Even though we are building a window cleaner, there is no reason to get tall and heavy for no reason. Stay around 6’8 “and 190 lbs with maximum wingspan since you will never shoot other than a dunk or a layup.
  • To resume: Window cleaner and rim protector will likely be your options here, both are great on their own. Lean over to Rim Protector for those highlighted game blocks.

New generation construction

  • Position: Forward power
  • Size, weight, wingspan: Staying just around the 6’9 ″ mark is quite fine here, and will definitely want to go for maximum wingspan. The weight has room to play around a bit, however, just depending on how much you want to dominate the paint. Some like to hover around the 240lb mark, but some (like me) like to go a little smaller, just so there is as little penalty for speed as possible.
  • Statistical potential:
  • To resume: The two most important things here are to maximize all defenses / rebounds and physics. From there, throw a few in the finish except for the close shot, and get 85 passing accuracy to unlock the Golden Ball passer. From there, think about free throw or ball speed depending on which modes you like to play.

These versions can be played with and have plenty of room for gamers to experiment with, heavily dependent on the style of play and the kinds of things you like to do in MyCareer. For example, Rec players will definitely need a lot more free throw stats than Park players, who will never shoot from the charity strip.
