Pete Davidson and Scott Disick bond after their boys’ night out inspired a ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit

Would it be too awkward to make #Scete a thing?

In the six months since Kim Kardashian started dating Pete Davidson, fans have noticed a huge change in the star.

The new couple have kept their romance incredibly low-key with date nights at local restaurants and even malls. Amazingly, this came just months after Kim said she wanted “smaller” and more meaningful gestures in a romantic relationship following her wedding extravaganza to ex-husband Kanye West.

“I want someone where we have the same [TV] joint performances. I want someone who wants to train with me. It’s the little things that I don’t have,” she explained in the latest episode of keeping up with the Kardashiansaired last June.

“I have all the great things. I have [everything] extravagant than you could imagine,” she added. “And no one will ever do it like that. [again]. I’m grateful for those experiences, but I think I’m ready for the little experiences that I think will mean a lot.

And Pete appears to have delivered exactly what she hoped for, with Kim looking happier and more relaxed than ever in recent public appearances.

In fact, in a trailer for her family’s upcoming new TV series, The KardashiansStunned Kim was seen laughing and trying to be shy after receiving a text from Pete early in their relationship.

And when she was interviewed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month, Kim couldn’t stop smiling as she opened up about their romance, including the fact that Pete had several tattoos in her tribute, as well as a permanent ‘mark’ of his name on his chest.

His relaxed posture and bubbly response to Ellen’s questions even prompted the host to comment on Kim’s palpable shift in energy. “I see a change in you, an ease for you, a whole different side,” she said.

And Kim admitted she took her time but finally found her happiness as she explained: “I think it’s just in life, like, whatever it is, I just think I encourage my friends and the people I love to just be happy. And I went for it.”

“I was like, you know what? I’m in my 40s, like, shit, go ahead. Find your happiness. I went there and took my time. I found it and it’s so good,” Kim added. “I want to keep this forever.”

And it looks like Kim isn’t the only one reaping the rewards of her relationship with Pete, with her also the foundation of a brand new friendship within KarJenner’s inner circle.

Last month it was revealed that Pete had become close with Kardashian family friend Scott Disick, who is dating Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and is the father of her three children.

Pete even joined Scott when he attended his son Reign’s baseball game, and they enjoyed a “boyz night” with two other pals afterwards.

Scott previously shared a video that was filmed by Pete on the night on his Instagram Story, which showed Scott and the other friends sound asleep during the 1982 film. The king of comedy played in the background.

In the clip, Pete looked unimpressed as he turned the camera on himself, and Scott jokingly captioned the social media post with, “Boyz night was wild.”

The evening seemed to inspire a Saturday Night Live sketch which aired over the weekend, with Pete returning to the comedy show for the first time since January.

During Saturday’s episode, Pete starred in a song that poked fun at “long ass movies” and directly referenced his cozy night in with Scott – and how awkward it was that he was the only one. to stay awake.

“We tried to watch the movie Heat when we were hanging at my house / but barely 20 mins my boys were drooling on the couch,” Pete rapped in the video.

The music then stopped when Pete broke the fourth wall and gave the camera a knowing look, joking, “The only one who’s not sleeping is the weird guy who picked the movie.”

While The king of comedy is less than two hours long, so doesn’t necessarily fit the mandate of a “long ass movie”, it’s one of Pete’s favorites, so it’s not unlikely he was the one who made it suggested at a boys’ night out.

But thankfully, his poorly received selection doesn’t appear to have had any lasting impact on his and Scott’s bromance, as Scott posted another Instagram story with Pete on Sunday.

In the clip, Pete drove the pink golf cart that Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, bought him for Christmas last year at Scott’s.

Scott began filming as Pete went back to the cart after apparently dropping off some food.

“Good to see you,” Scott shouted at the comic. “Thanks for dropping off the pizza.”

Pete replied, “Oh, anytime, have a good night, okay?”

“Okay, be careful,” Scott said in response, before cheekily adding, “I love postal workers,” suggesting that Pete worked as a food delivery boy.

Needless to say, people can’t get enough of Scott and Pete’s growing friendship, and the latest interaction was a hot topic of conversation on Reddit.

“I love that they have a relationship, Scott needs some male connection in the family and I bet those two are absolute threats together,” one user commented.

Another pointed out that the two men had similar past experiences when they wrote, “Okay, but I think I would really like to see these two interact, and I think it could be a positive thing for them. They can talk about their therapy and recovery journey!

“This is the bromance I’m here for!” A third added. Another joked, “That’s a reality show I would watch.”

And while we’re all obviously thrilled with Kim and Pete’s seemingly happy and healthy relationship, I have to admit that I’m equally invested in Scott and Pete’s friendship and can only hope we have more of it. glimpses into the future.
