“I heard something about it,” said customer Luis Castelan. “I don’t know if maybe it’s all the restaurants… but I’ve certainly heard that a few restaurants here and there have run out of food and stuff.”

In a statement, Taco Bell said, “Due to domestic transportation delays occurring in most areas of the industry, we may temporarily run out of certain items. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope to rekindle the current cravings of Taco Bell fans soon.

The company didn’t provide details, but on social media, customers across the country tweeted their experiences.

One woman tweeted: “For anyone craving Taco Bell tonight I’ll spare you the ride, they have no chicken or beef, national shortage
or something. I just ate black beans in a hard shell. It wasn’t worth it.

Another guest said there was a shortage of hot sauce throughout the district.

However, food cravings were satisfied in Orange County on Tuesday. Of the people CBSLA’s Michele Gile spoke to at three different Taco Bell locations, no one had a problem ordering what they wanted.

“They gave me hot sauce,” said customer Melanie Snodgrass. “They didn’t say there was a shortage on all of this. I haven’t watched it yet but I hope it’s normal.
