Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, is not launching, in limited form, on Apple’s US App Store.

The app is similar to Twitter, commentators observe – Twitter, Facebook and YouTube banned Oga Trump last year.

And some early adopters have trouble creating accounts.

Project leader and former congressman Devin Nunes said it should be fully operational by the end of March.

Some of them try to register and receive a message saying: “Due to massive demand, we have not put you on our waiting list,” reports the Reuters news agency.

Year-old Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) created Truth Social. Di bin don dey platform available for about 500 beta testers.

Last week, Donald Trump Jr shared a screenshot of his first “truth” on his social media: “Get ready. Your favorite president, see you soon.”

Truth Social is already receiving an update for “bug fixes”, according to di App Store, and now e dey on version 1.0.1.

Last fall, the pranksters discovered a test version of the app’s website and, according to the Washington Post, they adopted the username donaldjtrump.

Twitter banned the former president after the US Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, for allegedly breaking rules on glorifying violence.

And commenters point out, among other things, that the Truth Social buttons resemble Twitter’s reply, retweet, and like functions.

Big tech

For the im site, Truth Social describes imsef as a “big tent” social media platform that encourages open, free and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology.”

Trump wants Truth Social to champion “free speech” without “censorship” of sites like Twitter and Facebook.

A common view among conservatives is that Silicon Valley social media companies restrict free speech by deleting posts and users.

“We can’t use any of the big tech companies,” Oga Nunes, who resigned from Congress in December to become chief executive of TMTG, told the conservative Newsmax network.

“So we get to build dis from scratch.”

Frozen

Nunes doesn’t swear that Truth Social is “an uncensored experience.”

But any social media platform for the App Store and Google Play must remove content that breaks the rules.

And they will soon freeze any truly uncensored platform.

For my pic on Twitter, Trump bin get over dan 88 million followers.

But no oda alternative platform presents demsef as uncensored, like Gettr, Parler, Gab and Rumble, does not attract audiences compared to those of major social networks.

‘Very difficult’

Last year, Apple and Google removed Speak from dia stores for failing to remove posts they believed threatened violence and contained illegal activity.

I’m only allowed to return after I agree to Apple’s and Google’s terms of service.
