Animal Tales and Tunes with Kim Lehman: 10:30 am via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Storyteller and musician Kim Lehman will share facts and tales about animals. Participants can also learn how to make a simple frog puppet using a 3-inch by 5-inch index card or a piece of paper and markers. Record: westbanklibrary.com.

Magic Show with John O’Bryant: 4:30 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Magician John O’Bryant will teach magic tricks to try out at home with household items. To register: westbanklibrary.com.

Prime of Life Yoga for Adults: 6 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Prime of Life Yoga focuses on contemporary yoga teachings for Westerners, especially for men and women 40 and older. Record: westbanklibrary.com.

Young Adult Book Club: 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. The July 1 pick is “Sense and Sensibility” by Jane Austen. Record: westbanklibrary.com.

Parenting and Educational Conversations: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. This program addresses topics related to parenting and education, with an emphasis on psychology that informs approaches to raising and teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. July 2nd

First Friday Genealogy: 10 a.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Beginners and experts alike can join them to explore databases, exchange knowledge and advice, and share stories. Record: westbanklibrary.com.

Sheng Zhen: Seated Qigong: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Sheng Zhen Healing Qi Gong is a unique form of seated exercises developed by Master Li Junfeng. Record: westbanklibrary.com.

4th July

West Lake Hills July 4th Parade, Celebration: 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Independent Financial parking lot at the corner of Bee Cave Road and Westlake Drive in West Lake Hills. The event will feature costume contests, live music, and free food. Costume categories will be the Most Patriotic, Best Dressed, and Best Thing on Wheels Pets. Sponsorships are available. Release. Rollingwood July 4th parade and celebration. The event will begin with a parade that will begin at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Wallis and Rollingwood roads. The parade will be followed by a party in the lower part of the park. Release. A raffle will benefit the Rollingwood Women’s Club.

July the 5th

Writing Workshop: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by Westbank Libraries. Seasoned writers and newbies alike are welcome to meet up and try writing prompts. Record: westbanklibrary.com.
