Wales travel to the Czech Republic knowing that a victory would give them a great chance of finishing 2nd in Group E of the 2022 World Cup qualifying. The two sides are tied with just seven points, but Wales played one game less than the Czechs who will have two more after Friday.

However, if things don’t go as planned for Robert Page’s side here, they will face a daunting task and two must-see matches ahead with Belgium heading to town on the final day. The Czechs have completed their two games against the Red Devils and will imagine themselves getting the most points from their remaining games.

So what chance does Wales have? They lack the talismanic Gareth Bale for this and the game against Estonia in what is a tough blow. However, Aaron Ramsey is back after missing the September matches.

Kieffer Moore is also coming back, as are Ethan Ampadu, Neco Williams, and David Brooks, so it’s not that bad. It’s a must-see game for the Welsh, but can they get a result in the Czech Republic? Let’s build a Bet Builder and see if we can figure it out.

Wales always seem to get pretty much the result they need when the pressure is really, really hard. They have outperformed for years and with World Cup qualifying so close I think we will see them at their best. They are underdogs in match betting and I think there is value to support Wales win or draw double chance.

It will be a tough request to win without Bale, but I wouldn’t let them pass. I think a draw is the most likely outcome, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Moore pops up with a vital goal before the Welsh host one of their defensive masterclasses.

It will be a low and unbearably tight score. The Czechs aren’t exactly accumulating goals and the last time they scored more than one was five games ago when they shocked the Netherlands at Euro 2020. At a price interesting enough though, I’m taking against Wales Double Chance and that punt will keep us in the mix until the final whistle.

And that brings us nicely to Less than 2.5 goals. As noted, the home side don’t score much, despite having scored in six of their last eight games. The previous game was a 1-0 loss to Wales. In those nine games, they’ve scored eight goals, an average of just under one per game.

Wales don’t score much either, in their last eight games, coming back to this victory over their opponents here they have only scored seven, also just under one goal per game. Crucially Unders have landed in six of Wales ‘last eight and seven of the Czechs’ last nine. Perfect fodder for Bet Builder.

If Wales are to come away with a win then you would expect Moore to be absolutely vital. The Cardiff striker has not been in top form, however, with just one goal in 13 league appearances. There is better value in the medium Daniel James will have 1 or more shots on target.

I expect Wales to come under significant pressure and look to hit the home side at the break. Their best chance of succeeding from this shot is to use James’ pace and you can just watch him go by and be incredibly lucky. Whether he takes it or not is another question.

If the hosts are to win, Patrik Schick is the key. With the Czechs playing in front of their own fans, we can expect them to do most of the running and dominate possession and position from the start. With Wales having one game less, the Czechs will be desperate to win and put some light between themselves and Page’s side.

Schick was one of the stars of the Euro, but I think he faces a real battle against an undoubtedly supercharged Welsh defense. He is, however, in scary form and has six goals in nine games for Bayer Leverkusen this quarter, racking up 28 shots in that span. Don’t be surprised to see Patrik Schick to have 2 or more hits on the target and a very busy Welsh defensive unit.
